Hi friends,

November always feels like a creative crossroads. The year’s winding down, but my brain seems to ramp up this time of year. Maybe it’s the early darkness. Maybe it’s that familiar end-of-year feeling of wanting to wrap things up while also cracking something open.

This month, I’ve been thinking a lot about momentum. Not the loud, movie-montage kind. The quiet kind that shows up when you keep showing up. I’ve felt it lately—in the essays I’m finishing, in the conversations I’ve been having with other writers, and in the tiny steps I’m taking toward next year.

In case you’ve missed them, here are links to my most recent pieces. Feel free to comment and share.

What’s Next

Something’s been building these past few months, and I can feel it in that low, steady hum that shows up when the work finally clicks into place. It’s the kind of momentum that doesn’t scream for attention—it just keeps nudging you forward until you look up and realize you’re not standing where you started.

Between the fundraiser for Ken’s 60th (thank you to all those who donated!), the spark that became Twisted Plot Paper (thank you to those who have shopped the collection!), and the flood of ideas that have been hitting me at inconvenient-but-always-right moments, something shifted. I’m writing differently. I’m thinking bigger. And for the first time in a long time, I feel like I’m stepping into a version of my writing life I’ve been circling for years.

I’m excited. And not in the quiet, internal way I usually am—this is the kind of excitement that makes you want to spill the secret even though you know you shouldn’t.

So, here’s what I can tell you: next month, subscribers will get the first official announcement. The thing I’ve been hinting at. The thing I’ve been shaping behind the scenes. The thing I’ve wanted to share for so long.

If you’ve been with me for a while—or even if you’re brand new—you’re going to want to be here for this one. Momentum is carrying me somewhere I’ve been trying to reach for years.

And next month, I finally get to show you where it’s been leading. If you know someone who might enjoy this content and be in on the news next month, forward them this email. They can subscribe here or via the button below.

Thanks for being on the journey with me!
