Writing My Way Home

Welcome. I’m Ron — a writer exploring loss, laughter, and the life that happens in between — the moments we carry, the ones we let go, and the stories that help us find our way back to ourselves.

I’ve always believed that writing isn’t just about finding the right words—it’s about finding yourself between them.

When I’m not scrawling in a journal or tapping on a keyboard, I’m doing something under Hudson’s supervision!

My work lives in the spaces between joy and loss, the before and after, the things we hold on to and the ones we have to let go. I write about grief, resilience, and the strange luck that carries us through even when we’re not sure where we’re headed.

Much of what I explore started with loss—the death of my husband, Ken, and the slow, deliberate process of rebuilding a life that looked nothing like the one I’d imagined. Writing became my lifeline. Journaling helped me stay tethered to myself when everything else felt uncertain. Over time, those pages became maps—leading me toward healing, meaning, and a new kind of wholeness.

You’ll find those stories here: essays that trace the lines between memory and hope, reflections on how the act of writing can turn pain into purpose, and the lessons learned when you sit long enough with a blank page to let it teach you something.

This site is part memoir, part conversation, and part love letter to the power of the written word—to its ability to hold us, heal us, and remind us we’re not alone.

So, come in. Read a little. Reflect a lot. Maybe pick up a pen.
